You can select a timeframe comparison to compare your current workspace data to data from a different date range. This is useful for week-over-week or month-over-month comparisons, for example.
Compare metrics from a previous time frame using the "Select comparison" tool.
Once you select a time comparison, the metrics from the comparison timeframe will appear as a dashed line in your metrics chart. The gross change and percent change between the two timeframes appear beneath each metric.
In the above example, the original timeframe is March 23 - April 5 (fourteen days). After selecting to compare "Previous Time Period", the chart updates to include a dashed line showing revenue from March 9 - March 23 (fourteen days directly before the original timeframe). Revenue has increased by a gross $23.70m, or +23.92%, when compared to the prior two weeks.
The dimensions panel also shows percent difference in a chosen metric, broken down by each dimension value. Metrics automatically update when a new timeframe is chosen.
If we drill into the last four days of the previous example, we can get a clearer view of the recent revenue increase.
Comparison timeframes include:
- Previous Time Period: Shift back one full time period
- March 12-16 vs. March 8-12
- Previous Day: Shifts time period back one day
- March 12-16 vs. March 11-15
- Previous Week: Shifts time period back seven days
- March 12-16 vs March 5-9
